We all took James on his first camping trip (just one night, only 20 minutes from home). It was a beautiful, very mild August evening. We were a little chilly and had to wear sweatshirts in the morning. We all had a ton of fun.
Tori loved roasting marshmallows - this is the first time we've ever let her do it by herself. She got a little hot, so below is a picture of her roasting her marshmallows between John's legs to protect herself from the heat.
These are pictures of everyone in the morning. I was just thrilled that we all slept pretty well and that we all fit in the tent. James slept in the pack n' play and Tori, John and I all slept on a queen size air mattress together. Tori was so excited to sleep in a tent on an air mattress (she usually was in the pack n' play on previous camping trips) that she kept begging to go to bed. She slept well, too, except for the fact that she kept kicking John off the mattress. James also did great and only woke up once to eat.
