Vegetable Garden

One of the things that we were most excited about having our own house was being able to have a garden. The nicest thing about Iowa is that even people that know nothing about gardening can get things to grow really well here. So here are some pictures of the garden. This year we decided to try and plant a little bit of everything: corn (of course since we're in IA), beans, tomatoes, squash, zuccini, radishes, peas, a few spices, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce and onions.

Tori absolutely loves to pick the peas and I taught her how to open them, so she eats them right away (I usually am not able to get any inside anymore). She has always been pretty good at eating her vegetables with a little encouragement, but now she loves to eat anything from the garden. We've had a lot of fun.

Trip to Virginia

Back in the beginning of June, Tori and I took a short trip to Virginia to spend some time with family. We had a blast and now over a month later she still talks about it. Here are pictures of some of the fun stuff that we did.
