This was Tori and James's first year of a real swim team. They had a blast and loved their coaches, who made swimming a lot of fun. They started out not knowing a ton about swimming or how meets went, but ended the summer pros. ;)
Don't remember a ton about this camping trip - except that it was very hot and taking a nursing baby that doesn't do too great sleeping through the night camping is not the best idea. :) We still managed to have lots of fun and I think it was only one night.
James took a class this year at a gymnastics place close to us called an "All Sport Class". He absolutely loved it!! It basically introduced the kids to lots of different sports while letting them run around and jump on lots of different gymnastics equipment. On the last day of the class they had a bounce house for the kids to play on. James was in heaven! I'm doing these posts a little late (3 years late) - so even now when James is almost 8 he talks about this class and how he wishes he wasn't took old to take this class.

Happy 5th Birthday our awesome James!! He picked out and decorated his cake himself and had a blast doing it. Everyone loved the Oreos.
For his birthday - James really wanted to order pizza and have it delivered to our neighborhood pool. So, this past weekend that's what we did. It was an overcast evening and then right after the pizza was delivered it started to rain. Not a big deal, since they have some covered pavillions right next to the pool where we were eating. However, after a few minutes it started to absolutely pour with really impressive thunder and lightening. That's when we decided to call it a night, but we still had to pack everything up and make a run for the car. There is a line from the Lego Movie where Batman says, "This is not how Batman dies." So, as we were packing up and getting read to run, James yells, "This is not how James dies." And we just all cracked up! Years later we still talk about it!
These are some pictures and a video of James's Gold Medal day. James took a class at a local gymnastics place that was called and All Sports Class. At the end of the year they have a gold medal day where they get to show some of the stuff they do and get a medal.

We are all very proud of how well Tori played in her very first piano recital! It's kind of intimidating to get up on that big stage and play in front of a bunch of people, but she had no fear and did her thing. Cute girl wanted her hair in a bun to look like Cinderella since she played a Cinderella song.
