Grandpa's Funeral

I had the opportunity to go to my Grandfather's funeral.  (Thank you Grandma Katie for helping John with the big kids that had to stay home!)
Henry enjoyed his time with Grandma and Grandpa and aunts and uncles and cousins.
I was so glad that I had a chance to go.  It was a beautiful, touching service fitting for such a wonderful man.  I have been very lucky with my parents and grandparents and everyday I'm grateful for the wonderful people they are and have been!

Mall Carousel and Henry Bath

James, Ellie & Henry love the carousel.  James especially loves this little thing on the carousel that you can spin yourself.  He spins so fast that I'm always sure he is going to be sick, but he hasn't yet.
Henry has crawled out of his pants and found James's sword.
Bath time for our cute little boy!

Funny kids

Cute kids enjoying the warm weather above.  Below, John is getting ready to leave for a conference and is trying to pack one of the things he'll miss most.

Strawberry picking

We found this strawberry patch pretty close to home and now I think it's going to be one of our favorite things to do in spring.
He doesn't eat them yet, but even Henry liked strawberry picking.

Girls

Ellie and Tori are showing off getting their names painted.  I think this may have been one of Ellie's first times getting her nails painted - she loved it!
Grandma got Ellie this crib for her baby dolls, but Ellie prefers to wrap up Penguin and take care of him instead.  She's a cute little girl.  Below she is our cute little fairy.

3rd Grade Author Performance

All the 3rd grade students got to pick an author, dress up like that author and sing some songs and do a little presentation for a fundraiser for the school.  The kids were suppose to stand like wax statues and when someone put coins in their jar they would come to life and talk about who they were.  Tori and I made her costume and she was pretty proud of it - I thought she looked very cute!

Tori's first 5K

Tori did a program called Girls on the Run at her school this year where they practiced running each week and at the end of a few months they run a 5K race.  Every girl needs a running buddy, so I got to run a 5K with her.  Henry and Ellie came along in the jogging stroller and James got to play on the playground with John, so everyone had a fun adventure this morning.
 James loved the bounce house!
Henry and Ellie were good little racers.
At the end James and Tori got to play with a snake (not my idea of fun, but they got a kick out of it).
